We've wrapped on BFI funded film Gutpunch! After a fantastic 8 day shoot in Ruislip, we start editing on Monday 12th November. Gutpunch stars Rufus Jones, Justin Edwards, Rebekah Staton, Leila Hoffman and Christian Lees

The Ellington Kid was screened on Channel 4 in the first week in November as part of their 'Random Acts' series. It's also being screened in cinemas across London as part of Soda Pictures' New British quarterly.

September 2012
We will be going into production on Gutpunch soon. It's a fantastic new short written by Andrew Yerlett and directed by double BAFTA winner Adrian McDowall. The BFI Film Fund are funding Gutpunch through their new shorts scheme which is being run by Lighthouse. We are producing the film with production company Archer's Mark and look forward to starting a fruitful relationship with them.

February saw Michelle and Andrew, the producer and writer of Bummer descend on Berlin for the Berlinale Co-production market. The project proved extremely popular with financiers, distributors, sales agents and co-producers, click here to read the Variety article listing the project as one of the most popular in the market.

lt's been a wonderful start the the year at Escape, with Bummer garnering interest from the international film community by becoming the only UK project to be selected for the Berlinale Co-production market through the Talent Project Market in February 2012. For more details please click here for the Screen International article. Michelle will be attending the film festival between the 10th and 17th February.

Our horror feature,The Good People, has made it on to this year's Brit List. The Brit List is modelled on Hollywood's Black List, which asks a pool of development execs, agents and producers to recommend their favorite unproduced scripts. The The Good People is one of 26 projects that was chosen from a list of over 160.

In Our Name has won the Golden Zenith for Best First Feature at the Montreal World Film Festival.

In Our Name has been touring the US at selected Arthouse cinemas courtesy of the wonderful programme From Britain With Love. Here's a great review of the programme and the film in the New York Press.

The Isis is scheduled to be broadcast on the 18th of June on the BBC's HD channel. It will be aired at 00.15 am (technically,the 19th of June),and will be followed by the rest of the short films from this year's scheme. Details of the broadcast can be found here.
The Film will also be available to view on iPlayer from the 18th onwards.

The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund are hosting a preview screening of The Isis on Friday, the 17th of June at the Apollo Cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Director, Andrew Saunders, received funding support from the CTBF towards making the film

In Our Name has been released on DVD on 25th April and is available in store at HMV and FOPP and is also available online at Amazon and various other shops.

The Isis was screened to the industry and other BBCHD short film-makers on 8th April at the Soho Hotel screening room. A great night was had by all. Congratulations should also go to the team behind Wish 143, a BBCHD short that was nominated for the short film Oscar this year.

We've wrapped on The Isis. This short film is currently being edited by Lawrence Huck and will be transmitted on the BBC HD channel later in the year.
December 2010
Escape Films are making their first short film in a long time! The Isis, which was written by Matt Wilkinson and Tim Saunders will be directed by Andrew Saunders and produced by Purnima Ramadorai as part of the BBCHD Shorts scheme. The film will go into production in February 2011.

The worldwide rights to In Our Name have been taken by Highpoint Films and will be sold at the Berlin film festival in February 2011.

The 5th December 2010 saw the Ceremony for the annual British Indepedent Film Awards for which In Our Name received 2 nominations and we're very happy to say that our star JOANNE FROGGATT won the BIFA for the Most Promising Newcomer for her magnificent performance in the film. Congratualations Joanne. A wonderful night was had by all.
